The 8-color ink set, with 3 tones of black, offers a dramatic range of benefits including virtually no colour twist and a dramatically wider range of expression – all without increasing the number of inks required.

Stunning black-and-white photos

Proprietary Epson technology employing three shades of black is the key to truly professional black-and-white photo printing. A richer range of tonal expression is possible with no twists or casts in black-and-white photo reproduction, giving life-like artistry to the prints.

Deeper shadows, lighter highlights

The lightest black ink in the Epson UltraChrome® K3 Ink with Vivid Magenta color palette is the answer to extremely smooth black-and-white tonal gradations, from the deepest shadows to the lightest highlights, resulting in excellent volume perception.

Epson’s Layout Manager (Windows® driver only)

Epson’s Layout Manager enables the efficient printing of images created in various applications and sizes. There are a number of layout options that will enable you to edit and arrange your artwork freely and creatively. You will now have the option to multiply a single image within the same printout, maximising paper usage and cutting down cost

Epson SpectroProofer® (Option)

Automatic color management workflows

An advanced option for the Epson Stylus® Pro 9890, SpectroProofer® facilitates professional color management workflows by performing color calibration automatically. Incorporating industry-standard X-rite technology, it provides accurate printer-to-printer color matching, as well as advanced measurement and certification. As programming color management workflows are automated, operators need not be technically trained, resulting in faster speed, higher color accuracy and lower costs.
